Child of the Sun

Morganite is an experimental young digital artist and graphic designer from Ghana. Her
work focuses on bringing retro designs to life in a modern world, but she describes her work as afro surreal and afro experimental – how she views the world through her perspective. She is mostly inspired by the fashion, music and lifestyle of the 20th century, and is fueled by the works of David Carson and Paula Scher to create broadcast her love for retro design. In her debut series, titled “Frame-In-Frame”, she explores subjects centered around celestial and baroque inspiration, and controversial topics like religion, worship and alchemy. Her work, Child of the Sun, is inspired by the ancient Egyptian story of Osiris, son of the Sun god Ra. It is a 3000 by 3000 pixel work and has been made through a digital medium.
