Eleanor Colligan

I can’t pick up the phone and call you, so instead I write you a poem

After Rebecca Lindenburg

Isn’t it funny how the page naturally spaces shit out?
We never talked about that, but if you were alive
I’d ask you about it now.
I’m sorry.
I know poetry is meant to make the unclear obvious;
I’ve only ever been good at seeing what isn’t there.
Did you know?
In Ancient Greek a “;” is their question mark?
I like that.
A pause, still waiting for an answer.

I could bite off a block of adjectives,
but I know you get the point.

Eleanor Colligan was made in a petri dish. You can find more of her writing at: pythonprince.github.io
