Alexis Deese is an AuDHD writer interested in navigating themes of neurodivergence, femininity and grief. Originally from sunny South Carolina, she now lives in the UK with her two doodles, Biscuit and Cookie. Most recently, she was named as a finalist in Frontier’s Home & Family Prize. In 2025, she was listed as an Honorable Mention by Plentitude’s Prizes in Nonfiction, shortlisted for The Poetry Society Free Verse competition, named a finalist in Frontier’s Misfits Poetry Prize, and shortlisted for Nine Arches Press’ Primers program. To date, her work appears or is forthcoming in London Grip, ANMLY, Swim Press, and iamb.
